Last Sunday, December 3, a large part of the residents participated as volunteers in the Mercat de Nadal de Pedralbes, an initiative promoted and organized by the Association of Veïns de Pedralbes, which takes place in the Plaça del Monestir de Pedralbes. This year the seventh edition was celebrated and, as usual, the benefits were allocated to the Menjador Social del Pa de Sant Oleguer de l’Església de Santa Maria Reina.

In this edition more than 70 entities participated, a good part of them with a markedly supportive profile: the Banc dels Aliments, NGOs, foundations and associations with charitable purposes, entities of religious organizations and various private entities. It was held the traditional children’s drawing contest, where gifts were distributed to the children, and it also took place different performances on a stage mounted in the square, all enlivened with music and comments by Dj Pau Borrell, resident of the Pedralbes Residence Hall.

It is estimated that five thousand people visited the market around, throughout a family day. The Monestir de Pedralbes also held an open day for the market.
