Halls of Residence are centennial institutions, founded in connection with universities in order to complement academic and social instruction provided in the classrooms. PEDRALBES is a male Residence Hall appointed to Barcelona University (UB) and located in Barcelona City north area.

Saint Josemaría Escrivá, Opus Dei founder, motivated the project for Barcelona to have a Residence Hall where, besides an appropriate housing and a studying and family environment, catholic education could be offered to the university students who wish it.
